Description
Poole Pottery coffee pot, 2 cups and sugar bowl in the Thistlewood pattern on the Broadstone range in the Compact Shape. These were designed by Robert Jefferson and in production in the 1970s. The cups measure 7cm diameter x 8cm high. The sugar bowl is 8.5 cm in diameter and 7.5 cm high. The coffee pot is 14.5 cm high excluding the lid. There are no cracks or chips, the pattern is sharp and clear and the glaze shiny. The Compact Range was introduced in 1965 initially in three colours – Black, Chestnut & Choisa, more colours were introduced later and the complete range was discontinued in 1992. Broadstone was originally a village north of Poole, now part of the town.
